Unlocking Innovation Through Your Supply Chain

At this year's Connected Places Summit 2025, procurement emerged as a key driver for change. The event featured four engaging sessions that examined how public spending can be redefined to foster social impact, enhance economic resilience, and encourage innovation.

Each session brought together leaders from the UK's public and private sectors to discuss what the new Procurement Act means in practice and how to embed purpose into every stage of the commissioning process.

The day began with a session titled “Beyond Contracts: Unlocking Innovation Through Your Supply Chain”, hosted by Sophie Moule, Director of Marketing and Product at Bloom, joined with Rikesh Shah, Head of the IPEC. Conversations focused on the necessity for consistency in procurement priorities and emphasised the significance of capacity-building to assist teams in adapting effectively.

“Public sector procurement isn’t just about compliance and cost—it’s a powerful tool for innovation.”

Learn how to unlock the potential of your supply chain to drive more innovative solutions, better services, and real impact for the public.
