Cornwall Council has appointed Bloom Limited to work in partnership with the Council to source and engage all consultancy suppliers on its behalf.
Kieran Topping, Service Director – Commercial Services for Cornwall Council said: “As a large and complex organisation, there are times when we need to buy in specialist skills and expertise from external suppliers for project specific activity, where it doesn’t make sense to retain these skills in-house on a permanent basis.
“Working with Bloom means we get access to the best choice of small and large suppliers, especially supporting local Cornish Small and Medium Enterprises suppliers. Working with a dynamic and competitive supply chain gives us flexibility, greater supplier choice and access to the latest thinking. Overall that delivers better value for money for the tax payer.”
“Our existing suppliers have the opportunity to become accredited Bloom suppliers, providing them with the opportunity to do business with us and other public sector organisations across the UK. We encourage them to get in touch with NEPRO and to attend our supplier day in April in Truro to learn more.”
The new partnership goes today and will complement existing framework agreements within the Council.
Existing or aspiring suppliers Cornwall Council suppliers can register today to attend an exclusive event to meet buyers and learn about this new approach.
