NEPRO ³ is an OJEU compliant procurement framework which assists the UK public sector to buy and manage specialist professional services from a choice of regional and national suppliers. It allows buyers to move quickly and at the lowest possible cost, whilst achieving better outcomes.
NEPRO ³ will deliver substantial savings to the public sector. On average, public sector buyers currently using the NEPRO solution save between 11% and 19% based on route and against budget.
For suppliers, NEPRO ³ will open up the market, removing the traditional barriers of marketing and selling to public sector bodies. The advantage to suppliers, especially smaller SMEs and VCSEs (voluntary, community and social enterprises), is that once they are registered and accredited with NEPRO ³ they no longer have to go through timeconsuming pre-qualification stages, instead they compete on a level playing field against larger suppliers for contracts they might not otherwise have access to.
Bath & North East Somerset Council were looking to analyse the effectiveness of its facilities management, maintenance, construction, business support and property investment activities, to make improvements and to assess whether they had the right level of resources and structure in place.
Recognising the need for an external appraisal, Bath & North East Somerset Council approached the Bloom marketplace to identify a supplier capable of delivering an insightful options appraisal and benchmarking capability to inform the future strategic decisions of the council.
